The soldiers were formally granted the Freedom of the borough of Oadby and Wigston at a full council meeting Tuesday, September 27th. .
Over the past six months, the soldiers have been serving in the United nations buffer zone of Nicosia, in Cyprus.
The parade of 100 soldiers, plus 50 band members starts off from Bell Street, turning left at the junction with Long Street and stops outside Peace Memorial Park where the Lord Lieutenant will take the salute and the Mayor will inspect the troops.
The parade will then continue along to the Royal British Legion at Bushloe End, where the troops will fall out.
The roads will be closed from 11.50am to 1.15pm. I'm sure plenty of people will turn out to watch what promises to be a stirring spectacle.
